The owners, Rob & Tom Lister, have a strong involvement in rural activities including a Farm in Gloucestershire, active participation in country sports and an agricultural heritage that dates back 150 years to when R A Lister & Co was founded in Dursley, Gloucestershire in 1867 by their great-great grandfather Sir Robert Aston Lister to produce agricultural machinery.
There aren’t many farms in the UK that haven’t at one time had a Lister diesel generator, grain-dryer, bale elevator, or sheep shears in use.
